Cancellation Policy

1. Safari Bookings

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to offer flexible cancellation terms. Below is our cancellation policy for safari bookings:

  • More than 30 days before departure: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
  • 15 – 30 days before departure: 50% refund of the total booking cost.
  • 7 – 14 days before departure: 25% refund of the total booking cost.
  • Less than 7 days before departure: No refund will be issued.
  • No-shows: No refunds will be given for no-shows or last-minute cancellations.

Exceptions: Some safari lodges, camps, and partners have stricter cancellation policies, which will be communicated at the time of booking.

2. Products & Services Purchased via Hugu Adventures Website or Representatives

For products and services purchased via our website or through our representatives, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Physical Products:

    • Cancellations can be made within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund, provided the item has not yet been shipped.
    • If the item has already been shipped, customers must return it in unused condition at their own cost before a refund is processed.

  • Digital Products & Services:

    • Cancellations are only allowed within 24 hours of purchase, provided the service has not been rendered.
    • Once a digital product (e.g., e-vouchers, safari permits, or bookings) has been issued, no refunds will be provided.

3. Changes & Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling of safaris or services may be allowed at no extra cost if requested at least 30 days before departure, subject to availability.
  • Date changes requested less than 30 days before departure may incur additional charges.

4. Refund Process

  • Refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days after cancellation confirmation.
  • Refunds will be issued via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed upon.

5. Force Majeure

Hugu Adventures is not responsible for cancellations or disruptions caused by unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, or other events beyond our control. In such cases, we will offer rescheduling options or credit towards future bookings instead of refunds.
