East Africa is a wonderful safari destination, boasting mountains, forests, beaches, valleys and culture. This wonderful itinerary will give you a comprehensive experience of almost all this aspects. What to expect on your trip!
You will land in Entebbe Uganda in the evening and proceed to city hotel in Kampala.
On this day we will travel to Bwindi National Park in Western Uganda. This is day is a dedicated travel day with a drive of approximately 8-9 hours
Have an early morning breakfast and get ready for the trekking exercise which is the highlight of this Tour that begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Tracking may take between 2 to 6 hours but it is well worth the effort.
Early morning after breakfast, our safari guide will pick you from your Hotel or residence and drive to Lake Mburo National Park to enjoy a long drive in search of different types and species of wild life. You will take a lunch break and relaxation at Lake Mburo shelter.
In the Afternoon enjoy a Boat cruise on Lake Mburo to view different species of birds, crocodiles, lots of breeding hippos etc.
Leave hotel at 8a.m. and drive back to Entebbe Airport for a flight to Nairobi.

This stop is to breakdown the long hours driving to Lake Victoria in Western Kenya. Kericho is a tea farming town. Expect to see sprawling fields of amazing Kenyan Tea plantation.

Leave Kericho after breakfast heading west towards lake Victoria.
Pass via Thimlich Ohinga Historical site, a site showcasing old unique building styles by the local people that were settled there.

Overnight at Victoria Sands Lodge
After breakfast/lunch leave for Takawiri Island by public water bus.
Activities include
Leave Takawiri by Boat back to Mbita (mainland). Lunch. On to Iten. Overnight Iten. Kerio view lodge

Waterbus timings from Island:
Enjoy the view of the mighty Kerio Valley during breakfast at the Kerio View Lodge. Later after breakfast, leave for Subukia.
Stop by Chebiloch gorge on the Kerio River where you will get to witness daredevil local divers dive the deep gorges. Arrive Subukia in the afternoon/evening.
Lunch enroute in Nakuru,
Overnight at Angani Subukia Resort.
After breakfast, leave Subukia for Samburu. Samburu offers a different feel to the Kenyan Safari. A dry landscape during the dry season with rolling hills and rich in wildlife.
We will stop for lunch at Nanyuki then proceed to Samburu. Check in after lunch at Lion Cave Camp Samburu. Enjoy an evening game drive in the park or rest after the drive.
After breakfast, visit buffalo Springs national reserve in Samburu. Get a chance to see the beautiful Samburu savannah elephants, Grevy Zebras and Reticulated Giraffes. We will have packed lunch or hot lunch at one of the lodges in the park.
After lunch enjoy a game drive as you head back to the Lions Cave Camp for overnight stay.
Visit Reteti Elephant Sanctuary and visit a Samburu village/school.**
After breakfast, leave Samburu for Nanyuki.
Overnight at Nanyuki Hotel
After breakfast, proceed for a game drive at Ol’ Pejeta Wildlife Conservancy. While here we will visit the Ol’Pejeta Chimpanzee Sanctuary where you get to learn about these amazing forgotten creatures.
Afterwards visit the Rhino Sanctuary and get to see the last surviving Northern white rhinos in the world.
After lunch proceed to Hotel for afternoon relaxation.
After breakfast leave Nanyuki for Nairobi.

Leave Nairobi After breakfast and drive to Taita (Wundanyi).

Explore Malindi and Watamu. Approx 1hr to Malindi and 1 hour back. Visit the Vasco Da Gama Pillar and explore the old but developing town of Malindi. Lunch in Malindi.

After Breakfast Leave For Shimba Hills National Park. It contains one of the largest coastal forests in East Africa and is where a great diversity of Kenya’s plant species are found, many of which are endangered. The Shimba Hills National Reserve is home to many Elephant, and is the only place in Kenya where tourists can see the Sable Antelope.
